What's inside
Parametrically designed and precision cut using CNC. Creates a vertically articulated surface that expands both absorption and diffusion through controlled geometry.
A custom high-density polyester core at 2.2 kg/sqm, significantly heavier than standard 1.3–1.5 kg/sqm panels. Engineered for stronger low-end absorption with added visual depth.
Precision-engineered vertical wave blades that slot directly into the base panel. The rhythmic blade matrix breaks up standing waves and diffuses low-mid frequencies while maintaining a continuous visual flow.
IsoCavity TM Included
Modular air-gap attachment included. Creates a controlled cavity behind the panel to increase low-frequency absorption.
ModuBASS TM
A modular bass trap system that lets you add or remove bass traps as needed. Scale low-end control to suit your space.

Dimensions

22.6" x 46.3" (575 x 1175 mm). Frame depth 2" (50 mm). Overall depth varies with the slats: about 2.0" to 5.4" (50 to 136 mm) from the wall, or 3.3" to 6.7" (85 to 171 mm) with the included 1.3" (35 mm) air-gap spacer.

Materials

Polyester (PET) Acoustic Felt + Brushed Anodized Aluminum Frame

Color and texture

Our felt is a blend of colored polyester fibers, so small variations in color and texture between panels and production batches are normal.

How it works

Lab-Tested Performance. Without the Lab Look

Rhythm’s sculpted slats excel at taming tricky vocal and low-mid frequencies - specially around 315 Hz. Not for cramped corners, but perfect when space meets intention.

How much sound it absorbs

PERFORMANCE

Rhythm Pro 2'x4' Acoustic Panel – Sandstone Rhythmic Surface

Our panels don’t just look great. They deliver real acoustic results, and this chart reflects how sound behaves with our material in play.

Select a configuration to compare absorption.

Values above α 1.00 are a normal result of reverberation-room testing: sound diffracts around the panel’s exposed edges, so the panel absorbs more energy than its face area alone accounts for.

How we measured it

How We Measured This Performance

We tested Rhythm Pro in a real room — not a simulation. Using REW software, a calibrated mic, and our own space, we measured real acoustic improvements. Then we calibrated our results using certified lab data from our Surge panel.

If you're curious about how we did it, or want to see the full setup (yes, there’s a GIF), check out the full test:

Built-in air gap

IsoCavity Air Gap, Included.
Bass, Balanced.

Every panel comes with a 1.3" (35 mm) air-gap spacer. Install it to create a cavity that smooths bass below 250 Hz, or hang the panel directly on the wall. The spacer adds 1.3" (35 mm) of depth.

Why a producer chose Massform

🎵 “Most of the studios I’ve built were acoustically incredible, but felt like a dungeon. I wanted something that sounds amazing and actually makes me want to create.”
Rowan Garmon, producer and musician

Modular Basstrap Compatible

This panel is ready for deeper bass control. Just snap on our modular basstrap kit whenever your space needs it — no replacements, no hassle.

How it compares

How much sound Rhythm Pro absorbs, beside four bare foam and fibre boards.

  • Rhythm Pro, without Basstrap 0.85 measured
  • Rhythm Pro, with Basstrap 1.00 calculated
  • Foam and fibre boards
  • Thin acoustic foam, 25 mm 0.50 maker’s lab test
  • Acoustic foam, 50 mm 0.70 maker’s lab test
  • Glass-fibre board, 50 mm 1.00 maker’s lab test
  • Mineral wool board, 50 mm 1.00 maker’s lab test
How we know
Measured in Massform’s office with REW, calibrated against Surge Pro’s lab result (Massform office REW measurement). With Basstrap: calculated by adding the difference the lab measured for Basstrap, not measured.
The shape
Rhythm Pro diffuses low-mid frequencies.
The boards
One common product of each type, bare, from its maker’s published laboratory test, brand not named; not measured by Massform. Tested flat, with no air gap (the mineral wool sheet does not state its mounting).

NRC: how much sound a surface absorbs, averaged across the range of the voice; higher absorbs more. Solid bars are lab-tested or measured, striped bars calculated or estimated.
